We just completed out ISO Evaluation. Our current rate is over all 6. We are hoping that this evaluation will lower our rating.
Check back soon to find out what we scored.

All the firefighers and members have done a great job in prepartion for the evaluation.
If you run into one of members/firefighters, tell them thanks for all their hard work!!!


Christmas Parade--December 6, 2009 (after noon)
Very successful-great crowd! Thanks to all that was in the parade and the hundreds that came out to watch. Special thanks to Casey Orr, Lisa Landers, and Tracey Wigley and all the Asbury VFD who helped. Tim Moses, Ken Burns, and many others served up about 35 gallon of chili to everyone. Thanks again to all that helped.

Christmas Dinner --December 5, 2009 at 7:00 P. M.
Dinner was very successful.
At our annual Christmas dinner the following were presented
1. Shalanda Iceis Kindred (Student)--- for heroic action during Asbury School Fire
2. Tracey Wigley(Support Staff) --- for heroic actio during Asbury School Fire
3. Kim Jordan (Bookkeeeper)--- for heroic action during Asbury School Fire
4. Nikki Baldwin(Jr. Firefighter) --- for heroic action during Rick Holcomb accident


The Chicken House of HORROR was a great success. Record attendance and rave reports. Made a hugh payment on TANKER #1 thanks to event.. Special thanks to Stanley and Rebecca McClendon for the use of their property. Event will be in same location next year. Thanks to all the dedicated workers and to the hugh number attending.

Training
is conducted on the 3rd Thursday of each month and at least 4-6 Saturdays per year.

Monthly business meetings
are held on the first Monday of each month and we welcome new members at any time.

Our coverage area is approximately 48 square miles in the eastern side of Marshall County and a small portion of western Dekalb County. The population of our coverage area is about 2,300 people in both counties. We have one school, several churches and several local stores and businesses along with numerous poultry farms. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are located just 8 miles ENE of Albertville and just 10 miles ESE of Guntersville, Alabama

  • 1 brush truck
  • 1 Rapid Response Quick Attack Rescue truck
Responses include structure and wildland fires, search and rescue and EMS both medical and trauma.

Our latest ISO rating, effective May 1, 2005 is a 6.

Our primary goal is to protect the lives and property of those in our community who help support us. We strive to provide prompt and immediate fire protection and quality medical care for those in need.

Asbury V.F.D. is a non-profit volunteer organization and operations rely solely on donations, government grants and fundraising events.
